Internet security is key if you’re using accessing any form of online banking, and Barclays have come up with a great offer that gets you a 12 month license for either the award-winning Kaspersky Internet Security suite (RRP £49.99) or Kaspersky Mobile Security suite (RRP £14) free of charge if you use their Online Banking service.
The deal does means you need to have an account with them, but this is fairly simple these days, and getting the free security software could be worth the effort. Of the security packages around, Kaspersky is one of the best, and gives you the comfort of have multiple layers of protection whilst you’re accessing our online accounts.
The are also offering to renew your activation code if you signed up to this offer last year, giving you another free 12 months of usage. All ou need to do is to login, go to the ‘At a Glance’ page, and follow the instructions.

Kaspersky and Avast are both great antiviruses and anti-malware”*;
Significantly, Barclays won’t give you this if you only administer your Barclaycard online and don’t have a current account with them. A bit strange as I assume the offer is to make their customers’ online transactions safer whatever their reasons for accessing the Barclays websites. Having only half the customers secure hardly seems sensible.
In another vein, do Barclays currently push the Trusteer Rapport software, as do most other banks? I ask as, not only is Rapport of doubtful use, it has known problems with Kaspersky. I’m a Kaspersky user already (though I have to pay – sulk) and I wouldn’t dream of changing just to accommodate a piece of relatively unknown software like Rapport.
I always prefer to use Kasperky over Avast or McAfee. Kaspersky is much better in detecting new viruses and it does not consume too much resources on your dektop PC.;’~
Kaspersky works better than Avg or Avast antivirus. Some viruses and trojan would not be detected by AVG but they are always detected by Kaspersky.
~ i have used Kaspersky and it is a good anti-virus, my only complain about Kaspersky is that it uses more memory compared to other anti-virus like Avast,

Kaspersky will definitely get two thumbs up from me when it comes to killing all those pesky viruses and spywares:’”
