Is your bank ‘Simple’ ?
A new start up in the States has been getting alot of attention lately, partly due to one of early infrastructure builders at Twitter, has left to start at BankSimple.
There mission is, as the suggests, simple:
A simpler bank that is easy to use.
A bank that treats you with respect.
No extraneous features.
No hidden fees.
There appear to have come from nowhere, and are attacking a heavily saturated and difficult to break into Market, but there is anticipation that the online experience with banksimple will be superb. Why? Well the team behind banksimple is made up banking and technology veterans, aswell as usabilty experts, and they won;t have the legacy of any corporate branding/guidelines/politics to get in the way of high quality intuitive and very usable website desig. It looks like they will be launching a US only bank, but if it proves successful I can see this being rolled out globally, particularly across western Europe. Sign up now to see what all the fuss is about – definately one to watch!
