Barclaycard launched a new mobile banking service today, building upon their existing on-line servicing platform, mybarclaycard. The service has been made available on hundreds of handset models, and utilises a specially optimised interface to provide an effortless web experience.

Alliance & Leicester is introducing a new automated telephone service to contact customers that have unusual transactions or spending patterns on their account to verify their payments. The outbound messaging service will be introduced from the end of 2009. The automated calls may include computer generated speech.
