Halifax as far as I'm concerned are stupid. Just trying to make us pay money to their dumb service by constantly calling them for hours without no resolve. Maybe ask the customers what they think about your dumb idea before you just do it. How hell we meant to remember or know the memorable information. Would be handy if we at least had it sent to our email/mobile or something.

Why remove the ability to pay off your credit card on-line via debt cards? I now get sent paper-based statements again (rather than simply checking on-line) and have to visit the bank or send a cheque - painful! Move my current account to Halifax... perhaps not.

I did not want to leave Alliance and Leicester. I did not want to join Santander. Now you have forced me here, I cannot access my accounts. Come back A & L. Life was much netter and easier with you.

A year on and Santander's online banking service is still rubbish. The instructions for logging on for the first time are incorrect, and they don't bother to tell you that their site only works on Internet Explore and possibly Firefox, but not Google Chrome.

The site now does not recognise my logging on details at all and their "customer support" is less than useless.

Online banking "service" - they have to be joking.

Well its 01/17/2012 and Ive spent all day unable to log in to the online services. My whinge however, is that phoning the online helpline, Im informed theres a wait of in excess of 20 minutes for an agent... Let me guess? A huge number of online customers unable to complete online transactions today as we cant log in? Halifax, get your act together. Get your phone messages updated (i.e. tell everyone the systems down and we'll put the phone down and leave the telequeue for those urgently needing banking support) or even get a message out ..... online! Reminds me, I went into a branch at the weekend...........dear lordy...... what a bunch ......but thats a whole new topic.

Really miss having some of the savings removed from the site ( isa investor & savings plan ) now have no idea how they are performing whereas before i could check whenever i wanted , seems a bit out of order to take it away for up to 18 months or so , i know you can phone but if like me you detest phones then it's very inconvineient , the sooner it comes back the better - hopefully before April 2012 - somehow i doubt it

I now use this app to check balances / transfer money, even when I am sat at my PC. It is that good, and faster! Thumbs up First Direct :)
